#LadyMaker: Tenaya Hurst
Always fun and always challenging, it’s wearable tech! Combine your talent, skill and craftiness to sew an LED laden accessory. Each Make-HER mom and daughter will make her own cuff-bracelet, headband, or other fabric creation. No sewing experience necessary, but be ready to do some experimenting and troubleshooting. After all, you’ll be engineering! Our workshop also will include an introduction to other hardware available for the young ladies to continue to make more sewable circuits this fall. For more information, check out Tenaya’s wearable tech at www.RogueMaking.com.
Make-HER workshops are open to girls aged 8 – 12 and their mothers (or other adult female mentors). Our talented #LadyMaker educators have designed content specifically for this age group. Therefore the workshops are not appropriate for those under age eight, including younger siblings. You may cancel up to 48 hours in advance, but those who do not show without cancellation will be prevented from registering for subsequent Make-HER workshops. Your registration reserves spots for both you and your daughter. (If you have more than one daughter aged 8 – 12, please complete ONE registration, enter both daughters’ first names in the name field, and list the younger daughter’s age when asked. Please do not register friends for this mother/daughter program.)
